I recently took up road biking..

In July I travelled to France to take part in a mini-tour through various Tour de France stages. The opportunity seemed like a no-brainer, though I had never been on a road bike - ever, it would give me a chance to see Lance Armstrong in action. This picture was taken after Lance won his seventh tour and he was riding through the Champs d'Elysées in Paris.

We were to travel an average of 60 kilometres a day through the Pyrenes and other areas of France including Bordeaux and Pau. It was truly an opportunity of a lifetime, and I couldn't pass it up. After three weeks of intense training I made it to France, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Suprisingly I've met many people in my industry that are avid cyclists! In fact, cycling in my industry seems to be catching on as much as golf did a couple of years ago.

So far, since July, I've logged over 1500 KM on a bicycle. I have since gone from 173 pounds with 24% body fat to 162 pounds and 8% body fat in less than 3 months, and I enjoyed every bit of it. I plan to attend the Ride for the Roses in Austin later this month which is a 100 mile ride for cancer research. If anyone is going to be attending the Ride for the Roses, drop me an email, I'd love to meet you when I'm out there.

ElP, great to see another cyclist. Big Lance fan here too. Enjoy the Ride for the Roses and congrats on the fitness you've achieved and will achieved on your bike.

How about some pictures of your steed? With you on it too. Btw, did you ever order the Voodoo cycling clothing from Hincape?

Best of luck with the blog. Look forward to visiting often.
