As you know, I attended the Ride for the Roses this weekend in Austin. I have to say, it was a very moving experience. From the first night Pelaton appreciation dinner, where Robin Williams did a stand-up routine, to hearing Lance make an incredibly moving albeit short speech, to crossing paths with thousands of cancer survivors, it was truly an incredible experience.I plan to write something about the Ride for the Roses, and what it means to many of the people involved. It's really hard to put into words because this isn't your average fund raiser, it's a movement.
I ended up riding 288 kilometres total in 3 days. On Sunday during the actual ride I managed to complete 100 miles in about 5 hours (160 kilometres). It was windy, and very tough near the end, but it was worth it.
