Looks like I was on to something

When I wrote that article about the Intel / Toyota sponsorship, I guess I was on to something. Rumor has it that the sponsorship was concocted in a regional office, and there was quite a bit of disagreement as to the effectiveness of such a campaign. Intel figured it would throw away millions more to McLaren instead of the millions it threw away to Toyota, which might not be a bad move depending on how they position themselves in the sponsorship. However, after hearing that AMD made a deal with the Formula 1 governing body, Intel threatened to pull the entire sponsorship - and perhaps they followed through?
