Every time we dream up a new product it's usually based on someones personal need. I have a large collection of DVD movies that I've accumulated over the years. Up until recently, my kids would randomly scratch them as they searched for the one they wanted to watch. Rather than fighting with them, I removed all of the DVDs from the shelf and had my team come up with an archiving solution.
We decided to offer our customers the option of archiving their DVDs to their hard drive. We leave it up to the customer if they choose to enable this option or not. I personally believe movie studios should take notice, this could be a great revenue generating opportunity.
The above image shows how you can browse for movies by searching for the picture of the DVD box. It's a handy feature because it means that I no longer have to search for the DVD movies, I can just leave them in a box in perfect condition.
