It's no big secret that ATi is about to launch their highly anticipated next generation Radeon X1900XTX video cards along with the latest Crossfire multi-GPU combination.
I have had the opportunity to test their new platform and I can say that it’s fast, very fast. Stability doesn’t seem to be an issue, and the yields seem to be good based on our ability to overclock quite aggressively. I can't really talk about the specific performance numbers but if you visit www.dailytech.com you can get a good idea of what to expect.
For the first time in many months Voodoo will actively sell ATi desktop video cards and ATi motherboard chipsets. This next generation will be installed in both our OMEN and RAGE systems.
VoodooPC has also created a custom ATi SS copper liquid cooling block which allows us to liquid cool both the GPU and the memory. By using liquid we're able to bring down the noise and most important there is a dramatic performance increase.
ATi Crossfire isn't really new but up until now it certainly hasn't received enough attention from any of the major gaming companies. We're quite certain the top dogs will join us in the launch of the latest Crossfire capable motherboards and video cards next week.
This is not bad news for Nvidia - as many of you know they have enjoyed 100% market share in the high end PC market for many months. As a preferred Nvidia partner we will continue to support SLI because it has months of testing and stability behind it.
If you visit the Voodoo website now you are able to choose from a fully decked out Crossfire or SLI configuration on our flagship systems. Ultimately this is great for our customers because it gives you much needed choices.

Man I ask and look what I get! I am happy to see you supporting ATI on this. The stats on these new cards look great. Personally I have had wonderful success with ATI (800 pro still going strong) and maybe now everyone I know will stop hasseling me about it. I realize is/has been the leader in cards for a long time but this hard push of ATI competition is great. Hopefully it turns out like Intel and AMD because even though AMD owns Intel it helps the industry. Intel being there pushes AMD to higher and higher places. With luck the same thing will happen with ATI and Nvidia.
Also that cooling block you guys designed seems very, very cool. I am curious though as to how much of a performance boost does liquid cooling give to a system? Have a good one. Peace.
