If you've ever read Computer Gaming World, William O'Neal was the main hardware editor of the magazine for a number of years.
Wil probably had the toughest job in the world as he used to run something called "The Ultimate Gaming Machine" showdown. This was a contest, of sorts, that occurred every year around January. The UGM pitted every major computer company against each other in a no holds barred competition where only the fittest of the fit survived.
Can you imagine how hard it would be to balance relationships from the advertising side to writing up honest reviews? Well, welcome to Wil's life in hell for a number of years. The poor guy, battered and bruised, finally left the clutches of the magazine and ended up taking a job with CNET - and now he's working with G4 TV.
As far as I know the UGM is over, it never happened this year and it probably won’t happen again. So, this is cool, Wil just started a new weblog and I think it's only fitting to link to it. You might also know him as "Lil' Wil" from this video. Be sure to check out his show, and also check his blog when you get a minute.

That is a bummer. That competition was always sweet. Being a hardware guy I really can't beleive he took a job with G4. That station keeps getting worse and worse. Attack of the show is horrible, "let's learn about dvd's, and comic books, and the myspace girl!!!" seriously, horrible. X-Play sucks, they complain about everygame and then are like 3 out of 5. Blah! Once Kevin Rose left G4 they stopped really showing anything about computers and new parts that are coming out. Braniac is the only good show left. If I was Will I would have kept the nerve racking job instead of the "report" on video games job.
g4tv is like mtv for the mildly computer literate, it is where computer cliches go to die. so long will, you will be missed...
