Voodoo Sponsors Scott Speed

Scott Speed and Voodoo operate within different worlds but have more in common than anyone might believe. They both have risen up in the ranks as underdogs, garnering serious respect and admiration in their own areas of competition. Who would have expected a fresh young California kid to represent his nation where none have treaded for more than a decade? Likewise, who would have expected a fresh young company like Voodoo to turn the heads of the major players in the PC industry? Scott Speed knew it all along - and so did Voodoo.

Scott is the only American F1 Race Car driver - there are only a handful of these guys on the planet, so clearly he has overcome some major odds in order to get where he is today. We are proud to be working with Scott, and we are now offering a limited edition ENVY Scott Speed Racebook, and a version of the OMEN Scott Speed Racing Simulator. Scott uses this machine to practice before jumping inside his F1 race car.

Both machines feature leading edge technology from AMD and ATi and they are available now for custom orders.

i think this may be way out of the topic..
but do you think woodcrest may perform better in single threaded enviroment, but not as good in multi-threaded enviroment?
it seems like conroe is optimized with its shared cache.

And believe me when I say it-he will leave F1 in less than 2 seasons because he's not a good driver.Peroid.The same thing applies to his team.I guess for someone who doesn't know anything about F1 it might be cool that you're sponsoring guy from the US but frankly he doesn't live up to voodoo pc brand...

I wrote an email to Voodoo on this recently expressing my views on this. Scott Speed is a lousy driver, just look at his A1 history. I do disagree with the previous poster about the team he is with. The company RedBull is one of the richest in the world. They have confirmed spots for both of their teams until end of 2008. Voodoo knows plenty about F1 as it is the F1 of computers and they have pushed it from day one. But sadly Voodoo has chosen to back an American racer as if it was his home town. Voodoo is based in Calgary,Alberta,Canada and should be backing Jacques or any of the drivers in A1 who have just finished 10th in the world circuit much farther ahead then any american.

As far as I have heard, Rahul should know plenty about the F1, he seems to be an Avid Fan. I havent kept up with the F1 at all so i wouldnt know what they are up to and who the best drivers are at the moment. But the Computers look pretty col though.

Voodoo has indeed successfully marketed itself as the Ferrari/Bentley of computers. However, Anonymous asking why Schumacher/Ferrari weren't used to endorse Voodoo is like asking why Tiger Woods wasn't used. Schumacher makes around $80m per year [F1 related pay plus endorsements] just marginally less than Tiger does. Needless to say, his endorsement fee would likely be prohibitive, and may infact be a notable undertaking for Voodoo's new parent, HP. I'm not familiar with Scott Speed, but his story as an underdog rising to international prominence does mirror Voodoo's swift ascent.
