And maybe some of the flash HD lovin for speed reasons if its available anytime in the near future. a flash chip is like .0000001 lbs<BR/><BR/>use the extra space for more heatsink/heatpipe action....Aluminum or some other lightweight metal (Mg? Ti? maybe Cu is better for weight/heat dispersion ratio?)<BR/><BR/>same for the pcmcia slot...just lose it. include a mini-pci EV-DO or Wifi instead. include a pcmcia usb adapter if ppl really scream. Oh yeah, get rid of any memory card readers too. Any decent camera or mp3 player should be able to connect through usb. ditto for the printer port. (thats a big vent/intake space right there)<BR/><BR/>maybe use a corrugated/finned metal surface on the exterior to add even more heatsink capability. probably not on the bottom... (watch out for groin burns). Even if the newer components do run slightly cooler, the difference between 50C and 45C really isn't all that big. But where are the 7800's and the x800+'s in a sub 5lb form factor? <BR/><BR/>As far as I know, nobody plays 3dgames on a laptop on battery power, so power draw really shouldn't be an issue. <BR/><BR/>As far as I know, the current gen video chips run even cooler than last gen.
