The device comes with a 1 yr warranty by the manufacture and that will always be honored when the carrier rep denies the claim. As to the 3K for the software there is a small business edition that would have set you back 1.5K for five users, but you got a bit off list (25%) for the full server and 20 users (assuming US dollars).

Good Blog, but let's be fair to on who gets the blame for getting screwed here. You paid 3,000 for a Blackberry server that comes with 10 user licenses, but is designed to support like +2,000 users - at least. It was your choice to put together a Blackberry/Exchange Infrastructure for 2 users. THAT'S INSANE!

As for $3Gs a month, you're gonna need therapy to get over the monthly raping your cell dealer is giving you. We pay $150/month for unlimited data to our Bberries, and a pretty standard voice plan (800 minutes, unlimited NAW) from Verizon.

Yeah, the dealer should definitely replace your blackberry -no question there.

In the last year Motorola has been releasing product that is eye pleasing but has fallen short of its objective. I give you this link to Sonys next offering because with the W800i sony killed the Rockr. This will probably not be the first time Companies like sony and nokia do this.
